I have heard a lot of people saying being a fan of their team is like being on a roller coaster. I want to tell them to try to be an Indians fan for like three hours. The tell me how you feel about being a fan of your team. I am thinking you would be grateful. And you may still think being a fan is like being on a roller coaster but it would be like those roller coasters in the kiddie amusement park or maybe at most the Mine Train at Six Flags. The Indians however put their fans through Millennium Force roller coaster rides every day and every game. I do not even like roller coasters!

Indians, Cardinals, and Tigers! Oh my! 
I think the Padres are like a roller coaster too. Definitely. Not easy being a Padres fan, and it’s obvious that it’s not easy to be an Indians fan. But keep the faith, I’m sure Grady will improve soon!

I hate to inform you, but that’s not a Yankee striking out. That’s my love AJ and his uncaught third strike in the 2005 ALCS. š I’ve seen the picture a bazillion times and is saved on my computer hahaha. But it’s the White Sox, so it’s close enough to the Yankees for you, I would assume. š He usually does look like a bit of an idiot when he strikes out, probably because he makes strange faces when he swings.

Kaybee- This is true being a padres fan would be hard. I’m just saying that the Indians tend to do stuff about every 3 hours that is either awful or amazing that makes their fans feel bipolar. Grady will get better, I hate that he’s so streaky.

Haha. Good points. Grady’s slump is frustrating because (when he’s not striking out) he seems to be making solid contact –like the line out to right with the bases loaded yesterday–they’re just not falling in for hits. His strike zone recognition is way better than Kelly’s. Kelly never met a pitch he didn’t like. Can’t wait to kick off the Tigers-Indians rivalry tomorrow, though Armando Galarraga is filthy, so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Matt- I can handle some roller coasters. When I was little I used to love roller coasters, I don’t really know what happened. I am usually okay if it is really smooth and I’m strapped in really tight. I like shoulder straps. I think Millennium Force is too high for me though. But yes it is a lot like Grady in so many ways.
Jason- That seems to happen more often in slumps. It’s weird. he’ll come out of it but I would like him to do it soon, like maybe this weekend. Please?
Paige- That is a highly publicized fact about Grady. I’m sure he doesn’t like that but I think people just love how awesome he is and find every way possible to emphasize his epic win of a life. š

I think there is definitely a reason for the phrase “dumb jocks” – thinking too much almost always causes problems in sports. Especially if a batter’s in a slump, overanalyzing things seems to make it worse.
